Music and society

If numbers are used in a process of composing you might ask yourself if the result has still got anything to do with the person of the composer or the surrounding circumstances under which he composed this music. The answer is yes, of course, as the music created in such a process will always be related to the surrounding circumstances the composer lived in and was conscious of at this particular moment. In this respect you could even perceive it as a kind of musical "Gestalt" speaking to the composer in a personal way. This is, I believe, one of the most astounding experiences made when practising this  method. Thus, music can acquire a completely different meaning in the sense that it opens up a new understanding, a new knowledge to the composer listening to his music created in such a process.
