Music in discussion

Creation of sound and music can be described as shaping time in a specific way. There is obviously a close connection between the composition of music and theories of time. The use of computer programs beginning with numerical structures such as fractals can be seen as a kind of counting process because of its recursive character: the choice of a certain number depends on an  existing earlier number. This is quite similar to relating events progressing in time whose starting point is still present and necessary for further development. Time related by numerical structures is heard as music with a "Gestalt" of its own.
